The NovaLux Duo XR is a dual-seat convertible swivel system that goes from passenger seating to a flat sleeping platform. About the Duo XR Finding a van seat that's comfortable for both a 10-hour drive and an 8-hour sleep is one of the biggest challenges in van building. The Duo XR transitions from a supportive captain's chair into an extended sleeping platform that feels closer to a real mattress than a collection of cushions. The "Zero-Gap" Sleep System: Most seat-beds leave a gap at the hips. Our XR Extension Pad fills that space, creating a continuous flat surface. The NovaLux Solo CPT is a fully motorized 12V captain's seat built for camper van and custom conversion builds. It includes heated seats, ventilation, a built-in massage function, and dual USB-A/USB-C charging on the side console. The 20" seat base is sized to fit standard van aisles without crowding cabinetry. About the Seat Most van captain's chairs come from one of two places: rigid utility seats or oversized motorhome chairs that eat your aisle space. The Solo CPT sits between those — a motorized seat with full electric adjustments, sized for van clearances. Sized for vans: 20" seat base fits between Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster wall liners without blocking the aisle or galley. Fully motorized: No manual levers. Recline, tilt, slider, and leg-rest all run off a 12V control panel on the side. Swivels 360°: Built-in heavy-duty swivel base turns the cab into part of the living space when parked. Ordering: Left, Right, or Pair The Solo CPT comes in driver-side (left) and passenger-side (right) configurations. A real two-person bench that converts to a sleeping platform — built for the way van life actually works. We started installing the NovaLux Duo SX in our own builds because nothing else on the market did both jobs well. Most "van seats" are either too narrow to be useful, or they're benches that aren't designed to carry passengers in transit. The Duo SX is a full-width, two-person bench with integrated 3-point belts that folds flat into a sleeping surface when you're parked. It's the seat we recommend to clients who want their van to sleep four — two up front, two in back. Why we put this in our own builds Choosing a second-row van seat usually comes down to a frustrating trade-off: narrow seats that cost a lot, or wide benches without integrated belts. The Duo SX is one of the few seats we've found that handles both width and integrated 3-point restraints. Real two-person width. 44" across — enough room for two adults to sit comfortably, not a token bench you'd squeeze a kid into. Integrated 3-point seat belts. Frame-anchored automotive-style restraints built into the seat. Folds into a sleeping platform. The seat bottoms flip forward to create a flat 45" deep surface — usable as a kid's bunk on its own, or extends into a full-length bed when paired with front swivel seats. Beige leather upholstery.
